Welcome to Rosewood Adobe, we’re happy we get to share this special place with you.

We discovered the beauty of the Sonoran Desert on a failed road trip across the Southwest. We were stranded in Tucson while our vehicle was awaiting repairs, and in that time, we fell in love with the mountains, the sunshine, and all the incredible vegetation. Being from the Pacific Northwest, we were so surprised to see how lush and alive the Tucson desert was! We hope you soak up the beauty and serenity of the Tucson desert, there is so much to enjoy.

Saguaro Vista

3 miles round trip

The trailhead is a 30 minute drive from our home, and it’s an easy and enjoyable opportunity to see dense stands of saguaro cactus.  Many other trails connect to Saguaro Vista so you can get in additional mileage, but we do the Saguaro Vista + Sun Circle Loop if we’re in a hurry but want to get outside.  This is also a great mountain biking trail.

There are a myriad of trails from the Sabino Canyon Visitor Center, so this can be a choose-your-own-adventure trek.  There are many shorter, flat trails around the visitor center that are great for kids.  Also, they have many of the cacti identified and labeled, so it’s a fun learning experience as well.  Be sure to ask where the cristate saguaro is!
